For the past month or so, there has been an intermittent beep coming from the office. After searching on the internet I found that the computer was making that sound because of a problem on the motherboard. So, I finally broke down and bought some new components to fix the computer. They arrived Friday, and Friday night I set about putting it together.
As I unboxed the items, I was thinking about how fun computers are. I started assembling components and then I heard the familiar beep sound. What? The computer was right in front of me, disassembled. So, it wasn't the computer after all. I just spent all that money (since I unboxed and assembled every thing it was too late to return it) for an upgrade for no reason?!!!
After composing myself I continued to get things ready on the computer. As I was putting the motherboard into the case, I noticed something. It didn't fit. What! The huge PC that I had was actually a "micro" form factor, and the motherboard I bought was not... Rachel and I were silent for a moment...
As I stood there drinking a glass of water in anger, I decided to put it down and get a better look at the situation. Then the glass spilled on the new computer. Ok, so that last part didn't happen. But it would have been my luck. It's times like these that I remember I am NEVER going to be a gambling person.

Projects Wednesday
At our house we've had several projects going on this year. We've got 1) Playhouse, 2) Kitchen cabinet/floor fix from a leak, 3) patio extension, 4) landscaping flower beds and around Playhouse, 5) convert the leaf pile into lawn grass.
This is on top of the regular stuff. Add a dose of pink-eye to that for Mom and daughter 1, and you have a tired family. Still, we were able to knock out part of the Kitchen fix today. First we ripped out the countertop...

Then we took out the Cabinets...

Finally, I put new cabinets back in...
Currently, Rachel is painting doors and drawers in the garage while the kids nap. Not bad for a Wednesday. Tomorrow I'll redo the floor while the family is out of the house.

Passing of TIme
Spring has sprung over hear in the 'ford. With the leaves blooming it has made me realize the passage of time. I thought I'd write down some of the behaviors that I fear will be gone with the next change of seasons. Megan still occasionally says the words "next by" instead of beside, and she also still mispronounces bottom as "bolmin". Jenna has almost outgrown her habit of holding her ears when she gets sleepy. Now she tends to snuggle up to you and put her head down. The girls absolutely love playing together, and only occasionally get into little fights. It isn't entirely one sided even though Jenna is only 10 months old. She pushes, "bites" (she has no teeth), pulls hair and head-buts her sister. Megan really isn't mean to Jenna she just over-mothers her sometimes, which is what they get into their little fights about.
Video #1 is a quick shot of the girls playing outside on a pretty day:
Video #2 is them playing inside on that same day:
